La Liga president Javier Tebas has weighed in on the GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Both Messi and Ronaldo are among the "best players in history," but Tebas placed the Inter Miami forward ahead of the Portugal captain.
DSports' Juan Jose Buscalia interviewed him recently.
"Lionel and Cristiano are the best two players in history, with Messi as the best," Tebas said. "Players are essential, but not essential for a competition."
"Trying to repeat it for so long is impossible, because Messi and Cristiano have been at the top of their game since they were 18," Tebas said.
Two of the greatest footballers in history are Messi and Ronaldo.
During their time at Barcelona and Real Madrid, the duo won 13 Ballon d'Or between them.
